Busy Bees!

Proud Birthday Boy!

Finally! The long awaited birthday post and pictures. It has been a busy week since Jackson's real birthday. We had a small family celebration on Sunday, Jackson's actual birthday. He was so excited about the "cake" and "ice cream". We had to light his candles a few times because he was having such a blast blowing them out. He took a few licks of icing and one small bite of his cupcake, but wasn't really into it. Can he really be my child? Oh well, more for me! He enjoyed opening all his cards and gifts from the family.

On Wednesday, Mere-Mere arrived for a week visit. After a VERY long drive to the airport (not her original destination either!), Jackson was very excited to see her and ran into her arms! On Saturday, Jackson and Cille had their big birthday bash! The weather was not great, but the kids didn't mind and had a blast playing in the yard and bouncing their little hearts out. A few of the parents were bouncing their hearts out too. We managed to finish the party with only a few injuries, a strained knee and a busted lip. Success! It was so fun to see Jackson enjoying his friends and all the birthday related stuff. He was grinning ear to ear when every one was singing Happy Birthday. So cool that he understands it all. Can't wait until next year!

Today we took Mere-Mere to the airport so she could head back home. We are sad to see her go, but thankful for the time she could spend here. And that she was here to enjoy Jackson's 2nd birthday party.

Now for the long awaited overload of pictures!
