Another First

This weekend Joe and I finally decided that our child was looking way too shaggy (hence his new nickname of Shaggy Dog) and that he was in desperate need of a haircut. A real one this time. Not Joe or I trying to clip a little here and there over his ears. His first real big boy haircut. Unfortunately-since we decided on a Sunday that it MUST be done ASAP, the only option was Walmart. And I guess everyone else in Elizabeth City had the same idea (school starts tomorrow, I guess everyone wanted to look sleek and pretty for the first day). We quickly decided that Jackson would not last the hour (at least) wait that we were quoted. So this afternoon, Joe, Shaggy Dog, and I headed back to Wally world for our second attempt. Thank goodness it was not crowded at all and we only had to wait a few minutes. And the lady who cut his hair did great. She had definitely done first haircuts before. Jackson did great. He only cried a few times and it didn't last long. And thankfully she didn't scalp him either. He looks so much better! My baby is growing up!

Before-Like my Donald Trump Comb over? Really it isn't a toupee...

Mommy wants to put it in a ponytail. Daddy won't let her.

Waiting patiently for my turn.

Look at my new comb! This isn't so bad...

yet!

I am still not sure about my new look

I guess this wasn't so bad. How do I look?

Look how short it is!

My new favorite bath time activity...brushing my teeth!

So handsome! He looks so much older. It's amazing how a hair cut can change their looks so much.

Very handsome, Jackson!

When did all that hair grow? I don't remember it being so long when I saw him this summer!

I think it all grew overnight! It was funny how fast it all appeared...

I love the haircut (although I loved the Donald Trump comb-over too - ha ha). The picture where Jackson was "swatting" the hairdresser is priceless. Hope he doesn't make a habit of that..they won't want him back.. although I must say, there's been a time or two I have wanted to cry and swat a hairdresser or two! You Go Jack!
