Busy week and lots of pictures

We had a busy week! Mere-Mere (Joe's mom) and Auntie Kat arrived Tuesday afternoon decked out Thelma and Louse style with sunglasses and big floppy hats. Jackson was very excited to see them both and was especially happy to have two new people who were willing to walk him around non stop. Since that is now his favorite activity. He has become a pro at pushing his truck and any other furniture or toys that will move. He still has trouble steering, but that doesn't stop him. He loves to make laps around the house and always has to stop and wave at the cats or the front door. So sweet.

Thursday was a big day for Jack-Jack. He had his nine well check with the doctor. He did great-until she wanted to look into his ears. He did some good kicking during that! Dr. Coleman commented that he had very strong legs! She was very pleased with his new walking skill too! He weighs 19 pounds, and 9 ounces. And all he got that day was a finger stick. Although he cried harder with that than he did with his shots. Poor little guy! AND Deborah's birthday was on Thursday too. So we all got to celebrate the day with her.

We finally got a chance to get to the base and get some pictures with the helicopter on Thursday afternoon also. It was a very HOT afternoon but we did get some good shots. Thanks to Adam Kerr for being our photographer.

On Saturday we said goodbye to Auntie Kat as she headed home on the train. Jackson, Joe, and I went to his swimming lessons again. He did great! He didn't fuss at all until the end when he was getting cold. He did more of the same splashing, kicking, walking, and jumping off the side.

Yesterday we went out to the beach to see the Powers, some good friends of ours from Kodiak. They are transferring to West Lafayette where Scott will be attending Krannert for the next year. It was so good to see them. I can't believe how the boys have grown! I didn't get a chance to take any pictures, but Kimberly took a ton! I will post some after she sends them to me. Jackson did much better on the beach and walked up and down in the water for awhile. He will go anywhere if you let him walk there.

Speaking of, He is getting really good at walking on his own. He walks back and forth between people and will cruise around the furniture. He still gets a little scared at times, but he is doing better every day. Just like Kimberly said-I am crazy to push it. But since he won't crawl yet he needs some way to get around.

Here are a bunch of pictures from the week. I will hopefully update more often...hopefully I said.
